To inspire and empower women to achieve their aspirations in engineering:
- By building connections between those who are interested in, studying and practicing engineering.
- By offering professional development opportunities to women in engineering students.
- By creating an inclusive environment that promotes diversity and celebrates achievement.
To foster an inclusive and supportive community of Women in Engineering where women feel inspired and confident, and for women to be equally represented in the engineering profession.
Formed in 1993, the University of Auckland’s Women in Engineering Network (WEN) builds connections between women studying at the Faculty of Engineering. We foster relationships between female students and professional engineers by coordinating social activities, professional development opportunities, and forums for academic support. All undergraduate and postgraduate female engineering students are welcome and encouraged to be part of the network!
